Radio Physics Board names Gary King as next CEO

February 5, 2018

Ely, UK - February 5, 2018 - Radio Physics today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Gary King as Chief Executive Officer. Gary King was also elected to the Board of Directors of Radio Physics. Ed Godere steps down and assumes the role of advisor, and Douglas Dundonald will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Board.

“This is the perfect time for Gary King to become Radio Physics’ next Chief Executive Officer.  We've selected a very strong leader at a time when Radio Physics is gearing up to grow product revenues substantially,” said Douglas Dundonald. “In today’s era of frequent terror attacks, there is critical need for MiRTLE products. Every city and country is becoming a target for nefarious terrorist activities and Radio Physics’s role in the global security market is to provide advance detection of concealed threats to limit the casualties and damages. These attacks are disrupting lives everywhere, but in particular in the Middle and Far East. We intend to capitalize on Gary’s significant experience and connections in those regions to move the company forward with the speed required to capitalize on the opportunities in front of us. Gary’s strategy and execution track record are exactly what Radio Physics needs as we enter our next chapter.”

Gary joined Radio Physics over 12 months ago and has quickly proven his ability to inspire, energize, and connect with employees, partners and customers. His technology experience includes projects associated with the UK Government military research park Porton Down and Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (“Dstl”), an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Defence (“MOD”). Gary has an Advanced Certificate in Terrorism Studies from the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (“CSTPV”) at the University of St Andrews, UK, is a member of The Royal United Services Institute (‘RUSI’) and is an Affiliate of The Security Institute.

“I joined Radio Physics 12 months ago because I saw an opportunity to join a company with extraordinary growth potential which will provide a positive impact to people around me” said Gary King. “Having lived in the Middle East for the past 25 years, I have witnessed an increased incidence of terrorist events that affect the people around me and society as a whole.  Over the past 12 months, I have attended multiple trials in various Middle and Far Eastern countries, where MiRTLE has been effective in detecting concealed threats while not alarming on false positives. During this period, I have experienced the professionalism of the team and their ability to promptly adapt and respond to customer requests. The team and the technology are now mature enough for market deployment and I am delighted to be given the opportunity to drive the commercial success of Radio Physics in the years to come. The opportunity that lies ahead for Radio Physics is huge, and the ability to influence this next chapter is both humbling and exhilarating. I am committed to communicate effectively with all stakeholders; I couldn’t be more honored to lead this great company.”

Radio Physics also announced that Ed Godere has stepped down from CEO to an advisory position.

“The Board of the Radio Physics wishes to thank Mr. Ed Godere for his hard work and leadership, and for his stewardship of the company during its transition from a technology business to a product business.” said Vito Levi D’Ancona, founder and director of Radio Physics. “Under Ed Godere’s tenure, Radio Physics launched its first product, the MiRTLE 30 stand-off detection system, in November 2017 and conducted trials with key partners in multiple countries.”
