Ed Godere – Chief Executive Officer
Ed is a seasoned business executive with over 17 years of P&L experience with small and medium sized companies. He has a track record of successfully transitioning advanced technologies to products with solid strategic, marketing and operations skills.
Prior to joining RPS Ed was the Vice President, North America with Digital Barriers LLC, an advance integrated security solutions provider selling into the US department of Defense, Federal Law Enforcement and commercial security integrators throughout North America. In his previous role Ed was the Senior Vice President for Unmanned Systems at QinetiQ North America where he grew the companies Unmanned Systems business from $6M in annual revenue to $200M in 5 years, providing explosive ordnance disposal robots to the US Department of Defense, state and local law enforcement throughout the US as well as to defense and security agencies in 40 countries around the word, making QinetiQ North America one of the largest suppliers of EOD robots in the world. Prior to joining QinetiQ North America Ed work in advanced technologies as a program manager in the aerospace and defense industry with Textron.
Dr. Paul Rice – Vice President, Research & Development
Paul has over 10 years experience in system and component design, focused on millimeter wave markets. Paul headed the Engineering Team at MMIC Solutions, which developed sub-systems for security imaging and high bandwidth communications. Whilst there, Paul guided the development of E-Band transceivers from proto-type development to production delivery. More recently, Paul has worked as a consultant on projects including technology evaluations, intellectual property assessment, and system and component design, covering frequencies from 70 GHz to several 100s GHz. Paul has published at international conferences including the Microwave Symposium, SPIE and IMAPS.
Paul graduated with a PhD in microwave engineering from the University of Manchester (UK), having researched gallium nitride signal sources in collaboration with QinetiQ, Malvern, UK.
Paul Keen – Vice President, Operations
Paul has a successful career and worked in high technical Electro/Mechanical electronics for over 30 years within sectors of the MOD through to domestic/industrial and Automotive, High cost low volume systems for industrial and low cost high volume systems for domestic applications, Paul’s experience covers from conception through R&D and to final Design For Manufacture (DFM) cost reduction to full life cycle and End Of Life (EOL) both on and off shore to Tier 1 suppliers, Environmental, CE, TUV, IP, Emissions etc testing have also been covered.
Paul has passed certification for ISO900 internal auditor and has achieved ISO9001 for many companies including Radio Physics.
A large part of Paul’s expertise lies within NPI and product and process problem solving both on and off shore.
Previously, Paul has worked for TOM TOM where he headed up Manufacturing and NPI in China where cost reduction was at the heart of the second generation hand held navigation systems, other appointments include Cyan Technology where he had full autonomy to set up 2 manufacturing facilities in India and China, Airspan communications, DSC communications, Armour Automotive, Granger Telecom, Splashpower, P2i and the BBC, LWT television networks.
Gary King – Managing Director Global Business Development
Gary King is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where he has resided for over 20 years. He has extensive senior executive, operational and investment experience in the Middle East, Near East, Africa and the CIS.
His technology experience includes projects associated with the UK Government military research park Porton Down and Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (“Dstl”), an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Defence (“MOD”).
Gary has a BSc and an MSc in Petroleum Exploration Geology from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London University, and an Advanced Certificate In Terrorism Studies from the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (“CSTPV”) at the University of St Andrews University, UK.
